A sublimity resides in our Sibling Zen Diagram, as we refer to our collaborative art. Tapping into this awareness is enriching, and fun. As brother and sister, we share a powerful element of congruency between us -- a vast intersection of being that we've found great joy in creating from over the years.

In 2006, we began making collaborative paintings together while listening to our favorite music albums. We have continued this practice for 8 years now. Each painting is named after the music we listen to while creating it. The music serves as aural inspiration for the visual art. As two people sharing one canvas we embrace non-attachment in our artwork. The painting evolves as individual marks are covered, reformed, and expanded. As self-taught painters, we appreciate the complementary nature of our unique styles.

When we’re not painting together, Matthew lives in Durango, Colorado where he conducts wilderness therapy for youth and their families. Laura works to support community-based art-making in Cincinnati, Ohio.
